The ‘16 Days in WA’ campaign in WA aims to raise awareness, motivate positive action and highlight organisations, agencies, communities and individuals taking action to end violence against women.

From 25 November, which is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, to 10 December, Human Rights Day, individuals and communities across WA have an opportunity to show their support for ending violence against women, including family, domestic and sexual violence.

The Mangrove Cove Tower was lit up in orange, along with eight other iconic Bunbury landmarks from Wednesday November 25 to help raise awareness of the campaign.

Aqwest staff wore orange and held a morning tea on November 29 to promote the campaign.

“Everyone has a role to play in stopping violence against women and Aqwest is very proud to be supporting change and promoting awareness in our community and our workplace,” said Aqwest Chief Executive Officer Gary Hallsworth.

“By lighting up Bunbury’s iconic landmarks, it highlights this campaign to everyone in the community and helps promote this very important message."
