Aqwest will shortly start work to revegetate and stabilise the banks of the Roberts Reservoir, which is one of the storage facilities for drinking water for the Bunbury area.

Carbone Bros Pty Ltd will undertake earthworks, revegetate the banks with native plant species, construct a 2m high limestone block retaining wall at the top of the slope and install a palisade security fence on top of the wall.

Works will start in February and be completed in June.

“Not only will the banks be more stable causing less erosion, but additional vegetation and trees will greatly improve the amenity of the area for the local community,” said General Manager Water Services Mark Crabtree.
