Weather-based Irrigation Controller Rebate

Take the guesswork out of watering and make every drop count with a smart weather-based irrigation controller!

Traditional irrigation controllers water on a fixed schedule, regardless of the weather. Upgrade your irrigation system with smart technology that automatically responds to local weather conditions. Eligible customers can receive up to $300 towards the purchase and installation of a weather-based irrigation controller.

• Automatically adjust watering based on weather conditions.

• Reduce watering during cooler or rainy periods.

• Help reduce water use in the garden.

• Take the hassle out of manually adjusting watering schedules.

What does the rebate cover?

The rebate contributes to:

• Supply of an eligible weather-based irrigation controller or approved upgrade module.

• Installation, programming and commissioning by an Approved Irrigator.

• Wi-Fi setup and connection where required for weather-based functionality.

• Customer instruction and handover.Identifying and repairing leaks in irrigation pipes

When booking your service, please advise Retic Smart that you intend to claim the Aqwest Weather-based Irrigation Controller Rebate.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this rebate:

• You must be the property owner or property manager of a property serviced by Aqwest.

• The property must be connected to Aqwest Scheme Water.

• The eligible controller or upgrade module must be purchased and installed during the rebate period.

• The controller or upgrade module must be supplied, installed and programmed by an Approved Irrigator.

• You must be present at practical completion to receive operating instructions and sign the Controller Programming Checklist.

• The controller must be operational and configured to automatically adjust irrigation schedules using weather data.

• The property must not have previously received this rebate.

• Purchase the eligible service between 19 October 2026 and 31 May 2027, unless program funding is exhausted earlier.

• Submit your rebate application within 30 days of purchasing the eligible service.

What you'll need to apply

1. A paid tax invoice showing the purchase of an eligible service.

2. The service checklist completed and signed by you and the participating garden irrigator on the day the work was completed.

3. The completed Weather-based Irrigation Controller application form.

4. Your Aqwest account number (shown on your water bill).

Irrigation Service Rebate

Leaks, inefficient settings and worn irrigation components can waste water without you even noticing. Aqwest customers can receive a $200 rebate towards an eligible service by a garden irrigator participating in the program to help find problems, improve efficiency and keep their irrigation system running at its best.

Whats included?

Eligible services include:

• Identifying and repairing leaks in irrigation pipes

• Improving an existing irrigation system for increased water efficiency, such as replacing or repairing faulty valves or solenoids

• Checking automatic controller settings and adjusting them if required for optimal performance and compliance with the watering roster

All eligible services must include a check of your automatic irrigation controller settings and adjustments if required.

• Have an existing operational irrigation system connected to Aqwest scheme water. Systems supplied by bore, rainwater or other sources are not eligible.

• Purchase the eligible service between 19 October 2026 and 31 May 2027, unless program funding is exhausted earlier.

• Submit your rebate application within 30 days of purchasing the eligible service.

• Use a garden irrigator participating in the program, advise them when booking that you intend to claim the rebate, attend the service appointment, and sign and receive the completed service checklist on the day the work is completed.

• Not have previously claimed the rebate.

What you'll need to apply

1. A paid tax invoice showing the purchase of an eligible service.

2. The service checklist completed and signed by you and the participating garden irrigator on the day the work was completed.

3. The completed Irrigation Service application form.

Showerhead Swap Program

We are currently offering a showerhead swap program, where eligible customers can swap their old showerheads for up to two water efficient WELS 4-star rated models per household.

Up to 24% of average household water use is in the shower, and making the switch to a water efficient showerhead can save up to 37,000 litres per showerhead, per year.

Make the swap by visiting our Water Services Centre. Please note, terms and conditions apply and limited stock is available.

How to swap to a water saving showerhead

Bring your old showerhead/s to the Aqwest Water Services Centre at 2 Hayes Street, Bunbury, along with a copy of your recent water bill.

Feel free to contact us prior to removing your showerhead to confirm stock availability.

Before removing your showerhead

• Please read the Terms and Conditions before removing your showerhead/s

• The replacement showerheads are not suitable for low pressure, gravity fed (in the roof) and some instantaneous or continuous supply hot water systems. Check compatibility before removing your showerhead/s

• The water efficient showerheads are designed to use less water, without compromising your shower

• If you are a tenant, the property owner or landlord must agree to participate in the showerhead swap program. You can ask them for a copy of the bill to use when you visit us to make the switch

• We recommend you contact a licensed plumber for assistance in removing and installing the showerheads

  Showerhead Swap Terms and Conditions

Rainwater Tank Rebate

Plumbing in a rainwater tank to your laundry and/or toilet can save up to 20% of the average household water use per year.

This offer allows eligible customers to apply for a rebate for the following:

• Up to $1,000 for a new rainwater tank with capacity of 2,000L or more that is plumbed in

• Up to $500 for plumbing in an existing rainwater tank with a capacity of 2,000L or more

• Up to $500 for replacing an existing plumbed in rainwater tank with a capacity of 2,000L or more

Applications for the rebate are open from 1 June 2026 until the program funds have been exhausted or otherwise advised. Notice will be provided on this page if the offer is to close.

Dual Flush Toilet Rebate

Toilets account for a large share of the water used in a typical home. Older single flush toilets and early dual flush models can use up to 12 litres of water with every flush.

A new WELS 4-star dual flush toilet uses around 4.5 litres for a full flush and 3 litres for a half flush, which can cut your toilet's water usage by more than half and save you money on your water bill.

What's on offer

Aqwest is offering a rebate to help eligible customers replace an old, inefficient toilet with a water-efficient WELS-rated dual flush toilet:

• Up to $400 to replace an existing eligible toilet for a WELS 4-star or 5-star rated dual flush toilet

• Up to $500 to replace an existing eligible toilet for a WELS 5-star rated dual flush toilet with an integrated hand basin

Which toilets can be replaced?

Your new toilet must replace one of the following:

• An existing single flush (one button) toilet, or

• an existing dual flush toilet installed before 1995.

Dual flush toilets installed before 1995 have four bolts securing the pan to the floor. If your toilet has fewer than four bolts, it is not old enough to qualify.

To be eligible for this rebate:

• The toilet must be installed at a residential property connected to Aqwest scheme water.

• You must be the property owner or property manager.

• The new toilet must be WELS 4-star rated or higher.

• The toilet must be installed by a licensed plumber.

• The new toilet must replace an eligible existing toilet (a single flush toilet, or a dual flush toilet installed before 1995).

What you'll need to apply

1. A copy of the paid invoice or itemised receipt showing:

   • Your property address

   • The purchase of the new toilet

   • Installation by a licensed plumber

2. Two 'before' photos of your existing toilet:

   • A front view photo that captures the full toilet

   • A side view photo that clearly shows the bolts at the base of the pan

3. One 'after' photo of the newly installed toilet:

   • Please make sure the surrounding area is visible

4. Your Aqwest account number (shown on your water bill)

5. The licence number of the plumber who installed your new toilet
