School Incursions
At Aqwest, we are committed to educating the community about sustainable water practices and water conservation through our School Education Program.
We aim to educate individuals and groups about how to use water wisely, reduce wastage, and understand the importance of water conservation for the environment, economy and society.
In 2025, Aqwest will be offering an incursion for students in Year 2 which develops the concepts of water literacy and conservation. The incursion involves the following:
Introducing the Water Cycle by reading the book ‘The Story of a Raindrop’ by Bridget Cull
Saving Water in the Home guided group activity
Self-paced rotation activities involving games,
Waterwise Pledge commitment to reduce water consumption in the home, and an iPad interactive water efficiency experience whereby students are taken on an immersive journey through a water efficient home.
The duration of the incursion is 60 minutes. Students can also take away a water saving colouring activity to complete at home.
