Roberts Reservoir project

Aqwest has undertaken a major revegetation and amenity improvement project at Roberts Crescent Reservoir, one of its key water storage facilities in Bunbury.

Local company Carbone Bros Pty Ltd undertook the earthworks, revegetated the banks with native plant species, constructed a 2m high limestone block retaining wall at the top of the slope and installed a palisade security fence on the wall.

The works included adding 5250m3 of fill to the embankment, laying 4104 limestone retaining blocks and planting 72,016 plants.

“Not only will the banks be more stable causing less erosion, but additional vegetation and trees will greatly improve the amenity of the area for the local community,” said Aqwest Principal Asset Strategy and Risk Cristiano Carvalho.
