Aqwest is involved in a number of water conservation activities in the local community.
 
Aqwest promotes National Water Week in October each year.
 
Aqwest's National Water Week activities have included giving out free waterwise plants, suitable for Bunbury conditions grown by the Leschenault Nursery at the Bunbury Markets and providing local schools with prize packs for students who took part in activities during the week.
 
The 2021 National Water Week is coming up this October. Watch this space for more details.
Photography Competition 2021

ENTRIES FOR THE 2021 AQWEST PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION HAVE NOW CLOSED.

The Aqwest Photography Competition has been expanded to now include a Video category.

Photography enthusiasts are invited to enter photographs which are inspired by the "Water Art" theme.

Photography winners will have their work featured in the 2022 Aqwest Calendar.

The winners will be announced at an awards evening at the Lighthouse Beach Resort on August 26.

Each year the competition is judged by professional photographers Sarah Henderson from Henderson Photographics and Paul Verhagen from Pyxis Services who are looking for:

  • Technical competence
  • Creativity
  • Representation of the theme

The Photography winners receive prize money up to 3rd place . Three Board prizes are awarded with prize money to Photography or Video entrants. The students’ schools receive prize money for each prize placing up to 3rd place.

    Terms & Conditions and Prizes

    Terms & Conditions

    1. Submitting the entry form means the entrant agrees to and accepts these conditions.

    2. Submit photographs with a resolution of 5mb or more and a minimum of 300ppi.

    3. Submit a video up to 60 seconds (one minute) in a MP4 file format.

    4. Entrants can enter the Photography and Video categories.

    5. Individual entrants are limited to up to three photographs and three videos. Each entry with each photograph and video must be lodged separately.

    6. Entrants agree to give the rights listed below to AQWEST, without charge:

    • The right to use photographs in print or digital format and videos in digital format
    • The right to use photographs and videos in any of AQWEST’s publications or promotion materials, competition materials, the promotion of water conservation or to promote future competitions

    7. Where possible the photograph and video will be credited to the entrant, but this cannot be guaranteed.

    8. Photography entries may also appear in AQWEST’s calendar.

    9. Entrants understand they may be recognised if their photographs or videos are used.

    10. Entrants must confirm they have written permission from people in their photographs and videos to use them in the competition.

    11. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

    12. No AQWEST employees or their immediate family can enter the competition.

    1. All customers serviced by AQWEST.

    2. All Primary, High Schools and Private Schools in the Greater Bunbury area.
