The competition encourages young people to creatively explore the theme ‘Water Art’
Winning entries will feature in Aqwest’s 2027 calendar, with prizes for students and schools
Entries close 31 July 2026
The annual competition forms part of Aqwest’s ongoing commitment to community engagement, education and water literacy, encouraging students to explore their connection to water, place and environment through photography.
Local judges and professional photographers will be looking at technical competency, creativity and photos representing the theme ‘Water Art’. Students are asked to consider sustainability, conservation and cultural connections to fresh water, and how it shapes every part of life in Western Australia. Winners will receive prizes for themselves, and their schools and winning photos will feature in the 2027 calendar.
