Meter Replacement Program

Aqwest has commenced its annual Water Meter Replacement Program, replacing older water meters across selected areas of the network to maintain accuracy and reliability.

Water meters naturally wear over time, which can affect how accurately water use is measured. By upgrading meters as they approach the end of their design life, Aqwest helps ensure fair and consistent billing and supports customers to better identify leaks or unexpected water use.

There is no cost to customers for meter replacement, with all supply and installation costs covered by Aqwest. If your property is included, your meter will be replaced within a three‑month period, and clear access to the meter will be required.

Customers may notice some changes to the timing or appearance of bills if a meter is replaced partway through a billing cycle. This does not mean you are being double billed—charges simply reflect water use before and after the replacement.

Affected customers have received a letter advising of the process, and encouraged to contact us with any queries.
