Project Manager
Aqwest is seeking a technical Project Manager to join our Water Services Team. The role plays a key part in ensuring capital projects are delivered safely and efficiently in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations, standards and company policies and procedures.
This is a hands-on position, reporting to our Coordinator Project Delivery, managing projects to create new infrastructure assets that satisfy the operational objectives of the stakeholders on time, to budget and within technical and OSH, Environmental and Quality standards.
In this diverse role, you will;
Manage the planning, design, procurement, construction & commissioning of capital projects
Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams & stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, risk registers and delivery plans
Monitor and report on project performance, including time, cost, quality and safety metrics
Manage consultants, contractors and suppliers, including contract administration and performance management
Lead tender evaluations and procurement activities
Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements
Liaise with regulatory authorities, customers and external stakeholders throughout project delivery
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Strong numeracy and attention to detail
Demonstrated project management experience within a construction or infrastructure delivery environment
Strong contract management and contractor oversight experience
Sound knowledge of the water, wastewater or related utilities sector
Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and organisational skills
Strong technical and problem-solving capabilities

Reporting to the General Manager Business Services, this role is responsible for ensuring Aqwest’s risk management and compliance frameworks are effectively implemented and maintained. You will play a key role in strengthening organisational risk awareness, supporting governance processes, and ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory obligations.
About You
You are a motivated and detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and stakeholder engagement skills. You thrive in a governance-focused environment and are passionate about driving risk awareness and compliance excellence.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Demonstrated experience in risk and compliance frameworks and processes
Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
Project management experience or training
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
Desirable:
Experience with Power BI or similar systems
Experience supporting audits (internal and/or external)
Strong stakeholder engagement and quality management experience
Qualifications & Requirements
Relevant tertiary qualification

Working closely with key stakeholders and integration specialists, you will transform data into actionable insights that support compliance, performance reporting, and strategic initiatives.
About You
You are a highly analytical and detail-focused professional with a passion for data and continuous improvement. You bring strong communication skills and can translate complex data into clear, meaningful insights for a diverse audience.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Experience with data analysis tools and databases (e.g. SQL)
Strong capability in reporting and visualisation tools such as Power BI
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and insights
High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity
