Coordinator Water Operations
Aqwest is seeking a Coordinator Water Operations to join the team. Reporting directly to the General Manager Water Services, this role is responsible for the Treatment and Networks Water operations teams. The Coordinator Water Operations leads the operations team in the safe delivery of operations and maintenance activities across Aqwest’s water and (future) recycled water asset base ensuring that a 24hr 7 day per week operations is available.
The role is an integral part of the Leadership team and includes:
Accountability for operational and compliance reporting related to Aqwest’s operations department including regulatory reporting to the Economic Regulation Authority, Department of Water and Environmental Regulation and the Department of Health.
Partners with the Works Management team to ensure job planning and scheduling support, improved utilisation and productivity of Aqwest resources.
Works collaboratively with the Assets department to identify and resolve any asset deficiencies in accordance with the approved processes.
Ensures compliance with Aqwest’s Drinking Water Quality Management Framework, Groundwater Operating Strategy and Water Services Licence and the Memorandum of Understanding between Aqwest and the Department of Health.
Identifies, procures and manages contracting partnerships and strategies required to execute the responsibilities of this position.

Water Quality & Operations Specialist
Aqwest is seeking a Water Quality and Operations Specialist (WQOS). Sitting in the Assets team, this WQOS is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of water production through effective monitoring and operational practices. This role involves providing technical leadership of evaluating water treatment processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and collaborating with various teams to optimise water operations form source to consumer.
A day in this role would include:
· Evaluating Operational risk management controls
· Site attendances
· Problem solving and system optimisation
· Procurement and management of contracting partnerships
· Monitor and investigate quality, efficiencies and effectiveness of Water production
· Compliance obligations

Manager Asset Lifecycle
Aqwest is seeking a Manager Asset Lifecycle to join the team.
The role is responsible for Aqwest assets being operated and maintained safely, in an environmentally aware manner and to required quality standards. It leads a dedicated team of professionals and is a pivotal role within Aqwest. The successful candidate will need to show experience in the ability to lead development and implementation of Asset focused projects and programs.
Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
· Lead strategic asset planning for the organisation informed by the organisation’s corporate strategic objectives and ensuring customer, stakeholder and community requirements are incorporated into all asset investment decisions.
· Lead development and implementation of the Asset Investment Plan, capital delivery program, and Asset Management System aligned to ISO55000.
· Lead development and maintain industry networks and initiate research and development activities to maintain awareness of leading industry practices and improvement opportunities.
· Ensure that Aqwest is well positioned to expand its business activities into all parts of the water cycle.

Aqwest is excited to announce that applications are open for two Water Services Trainee positions.
These positions are an exciting entry-level opportunity to gain a wealth of knowledge, valuable training, and hands-on experience across a range of areas. The roles are a 2-year fixed term arrangement where you will be supported to complete a Certificate III traineeship while developing skills on the job.
