Risk & Compliance Coordinator

Aqwest is seeking a Coordinator Risk and Compliance to ensure the organisation’s risk management and compliance processes are implemented and adhered to in accordance with legislation and Board Policy. The successful applicant will be responsible for driving compliance and risk awareness across the organisation.

Applicants will have demonstrated experience in a similar role with a good working knowledge of risk and compliance framework and processes and process university level qualifications in a relevant discipline. Strong problem-solving skills, project management skills and research abilities are important to this role in our growing organisation.

Procurement & Contracts Support Officer

Aqwest is seeking a Procurement and Contracts Support Officer, to join our Financial Services team.  The role is responsible for managing essential procurement matters, administering low-risk contracts and aiding in procurement documentation. They would also maintain procurement records, monitor contract performance, and execute fundamental procurement tasks whilst sustaining positive stakeholder relationships to ensure efficient procurement and contract operations.

The key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to: 

  • Provides general advice to business areas on appropriate supply mechanisms for general procurement, including defining outcomes, specifications, market research, spending approvals, and timeframes.

  • Creates, reviews, and updates risk and issues assessments and related documentation for low-risk procurements.

  • Assists in developing low-risk contracts and procurement documentation.

  • Maintenance and collation of all procurement documentation and registers

  • Supports or facilitates tender evaluations and prepares tender evaluation reports and other contract or procurement documentation for low-risk contracts.

  • Administers low-risk contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant government and agency procurement policies and delegations.

Corporate Information Advisor

Aqwest is seeking a Corporate Information Advisor to oversee Aqwest’s corporate information management strategies, including privacy and information governance, document control and records management. In this new role you will have the opportunity to shape the way Aqwest’s data and records are managed and improve access to information across the organisation. It is an exciting time to join our team with a number of information management projects underway.

This is a new role within our growing organisation and part-time and full-time options will be considered.

The key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain an organisation-wide information management strategy for capturing, organising and developing information, knowledge and user stories from employees, customers and external stakeholders

  • Implement and monitor compliance with information management practices ensuring governance activities meet desired standards and legislative requirements e.g. Information Management Framework and Privacy and Responsible Information Sharing (PRIS) Act

  • Develop and maintain information management policy, procedures and guidelines

  • Develop and implement document control procedures, including training and oversight

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of controlled documents, including forms – ensuring alignment with document control procedures and classification protocols

Works Planner & Scheduler

The Works Planner & Scheduler is responsible for planning, scoping, and scheduling planned and reactive work to ensure Aqwest’s works program is delivered in a safe, cost effective and efficient manner whilst maximising customer satisfaction and minimising the impact of any disruption to the network. The role engages and coordinates contractors and facilitates the performance of Aqwest’s Contract management.

The position includes but is not limited to:

  • Developing clear and accurate job plans to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of the maintenance and capital work requirements. 

  • Producing a work schedule for treatment and network field teams that maximises utilisation, minimises unproductive time and supports achievement of the annual works program. 

  • Engage and coordinate contractors, ensuring alignment with internal support resources as required. 

  • Facilitate performance of contract management in line with Aqwest’s contract obligations.

  • Participate in the tendering/quotation process in accordance with Aqwest’s policies and procedures.  

  • Identify and report potential cost impacts (time, contractor, site changes etc) or other delivery risks. 

  • Contribute to the achievement of Aqwest’s works management performance indicators with an emphasis on safety, environment, quality, customer and efficiency.

Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Coordinator

Ready to make a real impact? We’re seeking a capable and motivated professional to help champion safety. Sustainability and environmental responsibility making a real lasting impact.

The HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment & Quality) Coordinator is responsible for leading the development and maintenance of Aqwest’s Integrated Management System including work health and safety, environmental management quality. To be considered for this key role you will need to have a Tertiary qualification in Health, Safety, environment and/or Quality (or equivalent skills and experience).

About the role:

The role includes but is not limited to:

  • Manage and oversee Safety Management Plans in collaboration with subject matter experts

  • Organise external audits in accordance with Aqwest’s policies and/or external requirements and implementation of any relevant recommendations, including obtaining and maintaining ISO certification.

  • Conduct internal audits and continuous improvement of the IMS and maintain the HSEQ internal audit schedule

  • Positively participate in Aqwest processes, policies, working groups and other initiatives

  • Actively encourage and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives within Aqwest

  • Implement actions identified through risk management controls related to the IMS

  • Drive environmental sustainability initiatives to align with the Environmental Sustainability Strategy

  • Oversee Emergency Management Plans, including coordination of emergency exercises as required

  • Provide support and guidance to elected Health and Safety Representatives

  • Ensure compliance with relevant Work Health and Safety regulations and amend and establish processes as required
