As part of the Bunbury Water Recovery Scheme project, Aqwest proposes to construct:
Two water storage tanks and associated equipment on a portion of Lot 3001, 1 Rotary Avenue, Withers
A pipeline from lot 5262 Ocean Drive Dalyellup to the storage tanks at Lot 3001, 1 Rotary Avenue, Withers
The pipeline will distribute fit-for-purpose recycled water from Aqwest’s Recycled Water Treatment Plant in Dalyellup to the storage tanks in Withers, where it will be used for irrigation of the Hay Park sporting grounds.
Construction is planned to commence in August 2026 with estimated completion of the tanks by May 2027, and the pipeline by July 2027.
The Water Recovery Scheme will:
Provide irrigation to 43 hectares of public space
Save precious groundwater for critical use, such as drinking water
Deliver a long-term sustainable water use initiative.

These plans are also available for inspection upon request at the Aqwest Water Services Centre at 2 Hayes Street, Bunbury during office hours (9am to 4pm Monday to Friday).
